DHAKA (Dunya News) – Bangladesh on Saturday reached 380-7 as Pakistani bowler Mohammad Abbas hit four wickets till launch on day two of the first Test at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

Bangladesh resumed their innings at 301-4. Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das were at the crease with scores of 48 and 8 respectively.

Mohammad Abbas made an immediate impact, claiming three wickets in the morning session. He dismissed Litton Das at 344-5, followed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam. On the first day, Abbas had also removed Najmul Hossain Shanto for 101 runs.

By lunch on day two, Bangladesh were 380-7, with Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque’s contributions of 101 and 91 runs on day one helping the hosts post a solid total.
On day one, Pakistan had won the toss and opted to bowl first, taking four wickets over 85 overs.

Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Abbas, Hasan Ali, and Nauman Ali each claimed a wicket, while Bangladesh’s batting was anchored by Shanto and Haque.

Abbas had expressed confidence at the end of day one, saying Pakistan aimed to take quick wickets on day two and finish Bangladesh’s innings, noting that the team had been somewhat unlucky on the first day with a mix of missed opportunities and successful deliveries.
