LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Pakistan cricket captain and fast bowler Wasim Akram has praised the Punjab government for arranging safe and organised Basant festivities in Lahore.
In a video message shared on social media, Wasim Akram said he had seen pictures of the city and found Lahore “extremely beautiful.”
He recalled the excitement of Basant from his childhood and noted that even as a former national cricketer, he could imagine how visitors from Lahore and other cities feel during the festival.
He congratulated the Punjab government for hosting the event with excellent and safe arrangements and urged citizens to follow official guidelines and avoid unsafe or unnecessary activities.
