MUSCAT (Web Desk) – Pakistan has booked its place in the final of the World Cup of Team Snooker 2025 in Muscat, Oman, after a commanding 3-1 semi-final victory over arch-rivals India.

The Pakistani pairing of Muhammad Asif and Asjad Iqbal produced a disciplined and highly effective display to outclass the Indian duo. Asif and Iqbal secured wins in three of the four frames, leaving India unable to mount a significant challenge. Their precise shot selection, tactical control, and composure under pressure ensured Pakistan maintained control throughout the match.

Earlier in the tournament, India-1, featuring Pankaj Advani, Brijesh Damani, and Aditya Mehta, had impressed with a 3-0 quarter-final sweep over France. Advani contributed a composed 54 break, followed by Damani’s fluent 68, as India-1 cruised into the semi-finals. However, Pakistan’s consistency and clinical execution proved too strong, sending them through to the final.

Other Semi-Finals

On the other side of the draw, Hong Kong China secured both semi-final spots. Hong Kong China-1, Chang Yu Kiu and Fung Kwok Wai, defeated Egypt 3-1, with Chang producing a stunning 106-century break. Meanwhile, Hong Kong China-2, Chau Hon Man and Nansen Wan, edged past Malaysia 3-2 in a thrilling encounter. This sets up an all-Hong Kong final clash in the other semi-final.
