Shanghai, China (Retuers) - Zhang Zhizhen upset world number 11 Hubert Hurkacz 3-6 6-4 7-6(4) to move into the quarter-finals of the Japan Open on Wednesday (October 18).

In other results, Felix Auger-Aliassime won through to his first quarter-final since May with a straight-forward 6-4 6-1 victory against Sebastian Ofner. Fifth seed Tommy Paul also advanced, comfortably dealing with Mackenzie McDonald 6-4 6-2.
