Pakistan Football Federation has hired services of Brazilian goal keeping coach for the team

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - After a gap of almost 12 years, Pakistan will be hosting a football match in FIFA qualifier against Cambodia.

The match will be played at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad on October 17.

This will be the first time after 20211 that Pakistan will host a World Cup qualifier. Last time they had played against Bangladesh at Punjab Stadium in Lahore.

Pakistan’s football team is preparing for the historic match against Cambodia in the second leg of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers.

Pakistan had hosted a friendly match against Afghanistan in 2015 at the same venue.

In the first leg of the qualifier in Phnom Penh on June 6, 2019, Pakistan had lost against Cambodia 2-0. The Pakistani team will need to win by a margin of three goals or more to advance to the next round of the qualifiers.

After the approval of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has been working hard to prepare Jinnah Stadium for the match.

The PFF has said the match will be open to the public, with free entry for all spectators. The federation hoped that home crowd would support and motivate the players to perform well. The match will start at 4:00 pm PST and will be broadcast live on PTV Sports and other channels.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Football Federation has hired services of Brazilian goal keeping coach for the team.
Brazilian coach Rogerio Ramos will join Pakistan team in match against Cambodia.
