India beat West Indies by 16 runs in the only T-20 match of the Series.

West Indies won the toss and decided to field first in the only T-20match played at the Queens Park Oval, Port of Spain in Trinidad. The Indian side scored a total of 159 runs in allotted 20 overs at the loss of six wickets.Subramaniam Badrinath was the top scoring Indian batsman with 43 runs while Rohit Sharma and Parthiv Patel scored 26 runs each. On the other hand, Darren Sammy took four wickets for the West Indies.West Indies had a fairly good start but then lost quick wickets and could only score 143 runs in the allotted 20 overs at the loss of five wickets. Darren Bravo was the best scoring batsman with 47 runs while Christopher Barnwell scored 34 runs and Marlon Samuels scored 27 runs. For the Indians, Harbhajan Singh took two wickets.India will now play five one-day-international and three test matches in the series. The first one-day international match is scheduled on June 6 at the Queens Park Oval, Port of Spain in Trinidad.
