The Brit consistently denied this talk, and has now reiterated his plans to remain in boxing

(Web Desk) - The unified heavyweight champion recently regained his WBA, IBF & WBO belts from Andy Ruiz Jr with a masterful performance in Saudi Arabia, avenging his defeat six months prior.

Before that potentially career defining clash, there was plenty of speculation suggesting AJ could retire from the sport should he lose once again.

The Brit consistently denied this talk, and has now reiterated his plans to remain in boxing for years to come.

When asked how many fights he believes he has left, Joshua told Sky: “14, 15.

“That would take me to 35, 40 fights maybe.”
The 30-year-old currently has a 24 fight record of 23-1.

Although he has previously declared his desire to include Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury in his future plans, his next outing will likely be a mandatory defence against either Kubrat Pulev or Oleksandr Usyk.
