The PCB conveyed its displeasure to chief selector Mohsin Hassan Khan over his press conference.
Cracks appeared between the chief selector and Pakistan Cricket Board over the selection of the 15-man squad for the Test series against West Indies. The chief selector will hold a press conference today at 4:30pm to divulge the cause of dispute with the PCB.A PCB spokesman said that it was a standard procedure that the chief selector finalises the team with the consultation of other selectors and the PCB chairman gives the formal consent. The same procedure is followed in picking the squad for Test series against West Indies, he said, adding that the national selection committee and the tour selection committee are two separate bodies, which do not intervene in each other’s domain. The spokesman said that the chief selector was performing well for the past one year but holding a press conference without the consent of the PCB chairman would be a disappointment. Mohsin Khan was appointed as the chief selector ahead of 2010 Twenty20 World Cup
