MELBOURNE (Dunya News) – Pakistan have on Thursday suffered second consecutive defeat in the four-nation hockey tournament against Japan.

The Green Shirts were brushed aside 1-3, and the defeat once again exposed the poor form of Pakistan team that has been continuing for quite some time.

Pakistan were thrashed by Australia 1-9 in their opening match on Wednesday which was their worst defeat ever in international hockey. The Green Shirts next play New Zealand in their final group match.

It is worth mentioning here that the national team could also not perform well in the recently held Asia Cup. Pakistan registered only one win over hosts Bangladesh, and were thrashed by India twice.
