Pakistan has lost a golden chance to win the Hong Kong Super Sixes tournament after a lapse of almost eight years while the Kangaroos chased a difficult target of 133 set by the green shirts to become the super sixes champs for the first time. Batting first, the green shirts set an extremely difficult target of 133 for the Australians, with Ahmed Shahzads devastating 92 of 28 balls that included 8 sixes and 10 fours. Replying positively to such a difficult target, the Kangaroos chased the total successfully in the last over that was bowled by Imran Nazir. Imran Nazir gave 48 runs on just 7 balls to confirm the defeat of the Pakistani team. Pakistans Ahmed Shahzad was declared Player of the final while he was also rewarded for scoring maximum number of sixes in the tournament.
