Hashim Khan, one of the greatest squash players of all time, died at the age of 100.

(Web Desk) - Pakistan s legendary Squash player Hashim Khan today (Tuesday) passed away due to congestive heart failure after protracted illness in the United States.

Hashim Khan remained under treatment at hospital for the last six months.

He was the patriarch of Pakistan s squash supremacy, winning seven British Open titles, including his first in 1951 at an age when most players retire.

Khan brought his family to the US in the early 1960s after being offered a lucrative deal to teach squash at the Uptown Athletic Club in Detroit. He later took a pro position at the Denver Athletic Club in the early ‘70s, with membership instantly soaring.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have expressed deep grief and sorrow over demise of Hashim Khan.
