Shoiab Malik was also prominent with 58, Sarfaraz Ahmad (1), Muhammad Amir (4), Danish Kaneria (8), Muhammad Asif (29), while Umer Gul was not out on (38).Although Australia could have put Pakistan to bat and follow on, but Captain Ricky Ponting decides otherwise and elects to bat again to set a target to Pakistan.Australia suffered an early loss when Shane Watson fell early however since then Simon Katich and Ricky Ponting had a partnership of 58 runs to extend the Australian lead to 277 with 9 wickets in hand.
