Pakistan end 9-a-side hockey ranked last
Australia will face Argentina in the final of super series at Perth on Sunday.
PERTH (Web Desk) - Pakistan’s hopes of securing third position in the Super Series 9-a-side hockey tournament, were crushed by Malaysia.
The national team slumped to an embarrassing 2-1 defeat by Malaysia on Sunday.
Malaysia was leading in the first half against Pakistan 1-0. The Malaysian team then doubled their lead in the second half while Pakistan s Arsalan Qadir was the only player who scored a goal in the match.
Earlier, Host Australia beat Pakistan 2-0 in the 9-a-side hockey tournament to crush all hopes of Pakistan making the final of the event.
The match was evenly poised at half time with the score 0-0 but Australia scored a couple of goals in the second half to clinch the match.
