Pakistan qualifies for Asian U-19 Rugby final

The Rugby final Pakistan vs India will be played on October 5.
LAHORE (Online) - Pakistan qualifies for Asian U-19 Rugby championship final. Pakistan U-19 Rugby team beat Afghanistan 44-6 on the first day of the event held here at Punjab Stadium,Lahore.
The Rugby final Pakistan vs India will be played on October 5,2013.
The Minister YASAT Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan was the Chief Guest on the inaugural of this event which was started by the collaboration of Government of the Punjab and Pakistan Rugby Union.
The Director General Sports Usman Anwar and President Pakistan Rugby Union Fozi Khuwaja was also present on this occasion.
A number of spectators were present including female and students to applaud the teams .Special fool proof security arrangements were made to ensure the security around the stadium.Fahad Ali and Usman showed their best skills in the first half of the match.
Fahad Ali scored two whereas Usman played one try and one conversion.The Uzbekistan team couldnot participate in the tournament due to some technical reasons for which India team achieved "By". The India team played a warm-up match with Pakistan universities and outplayed them by 30-05.
The score at the half time was 15-05.Inder Gorov scored all five tries from India team. The chief guest of this second match was Secretary Sports Mohammed Khan Kicchhi while DG Sports Usman Anwar was alongwith him.
The captains of the participant teams of Asian Rugby Championship U-19 third division thanked Government of the Punjab ,Rugby union and Coca cola for their sponsorship.Pakistan Rugby team Daud Gull told while talking in a press conference here at Punjab stadium that Pakistan is fully prepared to score high against India in the Final of the event.
The Indian captain M.Sharma told media that the team is all contented with the security and the residence provided to them by the Government of the Punjab while Afghan team Captain Ferdeen Haider said," We have been provided with best of the facilities here in Pakistan ,the match against Pakistan was a good lesson to learn from our mistakes and loopholes and we hope to show best performance the next time ".
Government of the Punjab is utilizing and providing the best of all facilities for the promotion of Sports in Punjab while fool proof security is also ensured for the peaceful conduction of these events.",said Rana Mashood ,Minister YASAT on the inaugural ceremony of U-19 Rugby Championship.
The Director General Sports Usman Anwar ,International Rugby board s representative Mathew Ozkley and tournament director Ismail Qadir ,Fozi Khuwaja and Rizwan Malik were present there too.The teams had been introduced to the chief guest Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan.
"Pakistan is the safest country for the sports and the successful conduction of AFC U-16 Football championship is the biggest proof of it", said Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan. DG Sports Usman Anwar thanked the Asian Rugby Championship teams participants and officials.
He further told media that all the international teams have been given with maximum best facilities and this practice will be continued in the future for the promotion and revival of Sports in Punjab.
