Serena Williams secured a suitable finish to an astounding year as she captured the round-robin WTA Championships title without losing a match. Nor did it inhibit her that her 6-2, 7-6 win in the final required her to take the title from her elder sister, Venus. The first set remained one-sided but in second set very tough and interesting competition was seen. Serena took a lead of 5-1 in the start of second set but Venus gave her a tough time by scoring three points break. Eventually, Serena won this set too by 7-6 and winning the title as well.
