POA vows to continue games despite hurdles

The PSB has refused to provide bag and baggage for national games.

 

LAHORE: Pakistan Sports Board has refused to give luggage for games while Pakistan Olympic Association president Arif Hussain has pledges to continue sports activities if they had to beg for this.

 

While addressing a press conference, POA president Arif Hussain said that government of Punjab is neither giving funds nor arranging any ground for games and now Pakistan Supports Board has diametrically refused to award articles for games.


He pledged that he would leave no stone unturned in order to carry on his mission, adding that he would arrange graceful games festival even if he had to undertake this job on roads.

 

He regretfully said that the image of the country would badly hurt if athletes run on roads.

 

Arif Hussain also gave checque of Rs 0.2 million to world champion Muhammad Asif.
