A leaky stadium roof in Malaysias capital Kuala Lumpur has been fixed, just in time for the Malaysian Open later this month, a report said Friday.Rain has disrupted matches at the indoor Putra Stadium since the tennis tournament started in 2009, The Star daily reported, causing an embarrassment to organisers.But stadium management Malaysian Stadium Corporation has now laid a membrane on the roof as part of renovations that began six months ago and will continue in October.The contractors have stopped working to allow us to prepare for the tournament, tournament director Nick Freyer was quoted by The Star as saying.The important thing is theyve got the roof fixed and thats just great, he said, adding the toilets had also been upgraded following complaints.The Malaysian Open from September 22 to 30 has attracted world number five David Ferrer of Spain, number 11 Argentine Juan Monaco and Asian ace Kei Nishikori of Japan, who ranks number 18.Brian Baker of the US, who has made a comeback from almost a decade of injury, will also play in the tournament, according to the organisers.
