Amir Khan is lining up potential new trainers as he plans a route back to the top.
Julys knockout by Danny Garcia cost Khan his WBA light-welterweight belt and was his second straight loss under Freddie Roach.The 25-year-old from Bolton was previously unbeaten with Roach in his corner, but a relationship which once looked rock solid is now under threat.Khan told the Star on Sunday: Im not even at my peak yet. I want to make a few changes and am in talks to change trainers at the moment. I am looking at a few names but I dont know if they are available.Roach admits he does not know whether he has a future with Khan, who plans to be back in the ring before the end of the year.I have not heard anything official from them, the American said. I heard they want to fight in December. No one has told me if Im in or out.
