Juan Martin del Potro of Argentine has won US Open title by defeating World No. 1 Roger Federer after a sensational match. Juan Martin defeated Federer by 3-6, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-6 (4) and 6-2. Roger Federer won the first set but Potro dominated the second set. Federer won the 3rd set and Potro won the 4th set after an impressive game. Potro won the 5th and final set remained one-sided and young player easily won it by 6-2. Potro became the first player of South America after 1977 who won the US Open title. Argentine Glommo los won the same title in 1977.
