Maggie Steffens scored seven goals in her Olympic debut to lift the United States past Hungary 14-13 in the teams opener at the London Games.Despite a team full of veterans, it was the 19-year-old Steffens who led the way with sharp shooting from outside for the Americans, who are looking to win their first ever gold in the event.The U.S. has finished on the podium at every Olympics since the womens game debuted in 2000, taking home a bronze in 2004 and silver in 2000 and 2008.With seven players back from the Beijing squad, the Americans are the gold medal favorite in London along with rival Australia.The win Monday against Hungary puts the U.S. level with Spain at the top of Group A.
