Athletics: Kiprop sets year's best mark in 1500m

Kenyas Asbel Kiprop produced the best performance of the year by winning the 1500m in a personal best time of 3min 28.88sec at the Monaco Diamond League meeting on Friday.The world and Olympic champion took the initiative 400m from home to finish ahead of his compatriot Nixon Chepseba, whose time of 3:29.77 was also a personal best.Fellow Kenyan Silas Kiplagat had set the previous fastest time this year, 3:29.63, in Doha in May.
