French leaders Montpellier lose 2-1 at Ajaccio to stay two points ahead of Paris St Germain.

Ligue 1 leaders Montpellier are within Paris St Germains reach after they slumped to a sobering 2-1 defeat at Lorient on Sunday (April 15).Montpellier, who had won their last three league games, suffered only their second Ligue 1 defeat in 2012. John Utaka was denied by Lorient goalkeeper Fabien Audard in the first half the break and Joel Campbell missed an incredible chance for the home side after the break.Lorient then struck when Jeremie Aliadieres header bounced off Joel Bedimos head into the net for an own goal in the 69th minute.Olivier Giroud, the leagues top scorer, soon pulled one back when he latched onto a Karim Ait-Fana but Lorient held on.Montpellier stayed on 66 points with six games left. two ahead of PSG who drew 1-1 at Ajaccio.
