Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar briefed Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani about her UK visit.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad on Wednesday and briefed him about her UK bilateral visit under the Enhanced Strategic Dialogue.She apprised the Prime Minister during her visit she had extensive interactions with her counterpart William Hague and many other Cabinet Ministers.During the stay in UK‚ the Pakistan Foreign Minister met US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and briefed her on the on-going Parliamentary process to revisit terms of engagements with the US.Both the US Secretary of State and Minister for Foreign Affairs agreed that relations between Pakistan and USA were important and must be based on mutual respect and be seen to pursue mutual interest at the same level.Hina also briefed the PM about her visit to UAE to co-chair Joint Ministerial Commission meeting with her UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan where Pakistans role in pursuing regional peace and security was highly appreciated.
