ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain, thunderstorms and strong winds in several parts of the country over the next 24 hours.
The department has predicted rain in various areas of Punjab, including the federal capital, from Monday (today).
Islamabad and parts of Kashmir are expected to receive rain, with strong winds and thunderstorms in some areas.
Heavy rain is also likely in parts of Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khushab and Mianwali. Rain is expected in Attock, Bahawalnagar, Chakwal, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Gujrat.
Several other Punjab cities, including Sargodha, Hafizabad, Jhang, Jhelum and Lahore, may also receive rain.
The upper catchment areas of the Ravi and Sutlej rivers may receive rain, strong winds and thunderstorms, with heavy rain possible in some places.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, heavy rain is expected at some places in Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Karak, Lakki Marwat and Tank. Parts of Gilgit-Baltistan may also receive rain.
Meanwhile, most areas of Sindh are expected to remain hot and dry. Similar weather is forecast for Balochistan.
The PMD said southern and plain areas of the country are likely to remain hot and humid in the coming days, while rain and thunderstorms may continue at some places in upper and central areas.
