Summary Protest lodged over violation of Pakistani airspace on September 23
ISLAMABAD (Zeeshan Yousafzai) – Following recent terrorist incidents originating from Afghan soil and cross-border infiltration, Pakistan has not only carried out air operations but has also taken up the matter with the Afghan Taliban at the diplomatic level and lodged a strong protest.
Pakistan issued a demarche over drones sent by the Afghan Taliban and the violation of Pakistani airspace on September 23. The demarche was handed over to the Afghan authorities yesterday.
Pakistan strongly protested to the Afghan government over recent terrorist attacks and border violations. Foreign Office Spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan also confirmed the development, stating that Pakistan had conveyed its serious concerns to the Afghan authorities over terrorism and the border situation.
Pakistan rejects Afghan Taliban claims linking Islamabad to Nuristan clashes
Pakistan made it clear to the Afghan authorities that terrorist incidents inside Pakistani territory and violations along the border would not be tolerated. Pakistan also demanded that Afghanistan prevent the use of its territory against Pakistan and take effective action against terrorist elements.
In the latest demarche, Pakistan conveyed its concerns to the Afghan authorities regarding terrorist attacks, drone incursions and border-related incidents.
