RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – A woman, her daughter and son drowned in a dam in village Tarkhi of Kallar Syedan here on Saturday.

According to the villagers, eight-year-old Subhul Hassan was watering animals from the dam when he suddenly and fell into the water.
To save the child, his 46-year-old mother Benish and nine-year-old sister Urooj jumped into the dam.
Rescue officials said initially the woman and the girl were rescued alive and taken to hospital, where they died.
They said the body of the child was also recovered from the dam, while the death of three members of the same family created an atmosphere of mourning in the area.
