MULTAN (Dunya News) - Anti-Corruption Establishment Multan arrested a union council secretary for allegedly accepting a Rs10,000 bribe from a citizen.
According to anti-corruption officials, the secretary of Union Council 54 Rashidabad allegedly received the bribe from a citizen named Ayaz for issuing a birth certificate.
A raid was conducted under the supervision of a magistrate, during which the marked currency notes were recovered, an anti-corruption spokesperson said.
The UC secretary was arrested and shifted to the circle office, while further proceedings are underway.
