Summary At least 4 newborn dead in PIMS hospital fire
ISLAMABAD – At least 12 newborn died and several others were injured after fire breakout at a children ward of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Rescue officials said the fire erupted in the ward following an explosion of the air condition compressor.
A team of fire attendants is making efforts to douse the fire.
In a post on X, Islamabad Chief Commissioner Sohail Ashraf Goraya confirmed the fire incident saying the officials received the emergency call at 6:54 am.
