LAHORE (Dunya News) - Five people were killed and a child injured in a road accident on Canal Road in Lahore’s Harbanspura area early Saturday.
According to the rescue service, the accident occurred when a speeding car collided with a tree. Two pedestrians and three people travelling in the vehicle died in the crash.
The deceased were identified as 15-year-old Muzammil, 18-year-old Noman, 20-year-old Abdul Rehman, 17-year-old Furqan and 19-year-old Junaid.
Rescue personnel shifted the victims to Services Hospital, where the injured child is receiving medical treatment.
Initial findings suggested that excessive speed was the cause of the accident, according to Rescue 1122.
