ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited Norwegian companies to invest in oil and gas exploration in Pakistan.
He was talking to Norway's Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide, who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
Expressing satisfaction at the warm and cordial ties between Pakistan and Norway, the prime minister highlighted Pakistan's strong desire to enhance bilateral trade with Norway.
He noted with appreciation Norway's bilateral cooperation with Pakistan, particularly in the areas of education, skilled labour, climate resilience, and technology.
During discussions on the regional and global situation, the prime minister deeply appreciated Norway's strong and principled stand in support of Palestine.
He also thanked Norway for its consistent support to Pakistan's regional peace efforts in the Gulf region.

The Norwegian foreign minister thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the warm reception accorded to him and conveyed the good wishes of Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre to him.
He praised Pakistan for playing a significant role in the regional peace efforts and reaffirmed Norway's interest in further strengthening bilateral ties across diverse sectors.
The minister particularly appreciated the positive contribution of the Pakistani diaspora in Norway.
The prime minister extended an invitation to the Norwegian prime minister to undertake an official visit to Pakistan.
