Summary Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and SCO foreign ministers met Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, discussing regional cooperation and Pakistan's upcoming SCO chairmanship.

CHOLPON-ATA, KYRGYZSTAN (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with the foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states, called on Kyrgyz President Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov at his state residence in Cholpon-Ata on Friday.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Dar conveyed the warm greetings of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and thanked President Zhaparov for the hospitality extended during the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Kyrgyzstan.

Dar highlighted the importance of continued collaboration among SCO member states as Pakistan prepares to assume the SCO Chairmanship for the 2026–27 term.

The meeting also focused on regional and global developments, as well as the evolving role of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation as an important platform for regional cooperation and engagement.
