ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Venezuela's newly appointed Minister of Foreign Relations and Foreign Trade, Félix Plasencia, during which the two leaders discussed expanding bilateral cooperation and strengthening ties.
Dar congratulated Plasencia on his appointment and conveyed Pakistan's condolences over the recent earthquakes in Venezuela. He reaffirmed Pakistan's solidarity with the Venezuelan government and people, expressing confidence in the country's resilience and recovery.

Plasencia thanked Pakistan for its message of sympathy and humanitarian support following the natural disaster. He also acknowledged Pakistan's role in promoting dialogue and de-escalation during regional tensions involving the United States and Iran, commending its commitment to peace and diplomacy.
The two ministers reviewed the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Venezuela and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties. They discussed expanding cooperation in trade, investment, business, agriculture, information technology and other sectors of mutual interest.
Dar underscored the importance of sustained high-level engagement to deepen bilateral cooperation, while both sides appreciated continued coordination at multilateral forums on issues of shared interest.
The two ministers agreed to remain in close contact and meet at the earliest appropriate opportunity.
