KARACHI (Dunya News) – One person was killed and three other were wounded in separate road accidents in Karachi on Thursday night, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the first accident occurred in Quaidabad area of Karachi where a rashly driven dumper hit a motorcycle, killing one person on the spot and critically injuring another.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot after getting information and shifted the dead and injured to hospital. Meanwhile, police have seized the dumper and also arrested its driver.
The second accident occurred in Landi where a man and his son were wounded when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a speeding dumper. Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to hospital.
It is pertinent to mention here that 497 people have lost their lives and 5,987 have been injured in various traffic accidents in Karachi this year. Among them, 160 people were killed in accidents involving heavy vehicles.
