ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced the implementation of a cashless payment system at passport offices across Pakistan.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, Mohsin Naqvi said citizens will now be able to pay passport fees through digital channels, eliminating long queues and hours of waiting at passport offices.
He said that, on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the reform process in passport services has been completed. According to the minister, the introduction of a cashless system will make passport services faster, more transparent and efficient.
The interior minister also congratulated the passport team on the successful implementation of the initiative and appreciated their efforts in improving public service delivery.
