LAHORE (Dunya News) - Progress has been made in the investigation into the roof collapse incident at a tuition centre in Kahna, where police have taken female teacher Aneela into custody.

According to police sources, the teacher will be questioned about different aspects of the incident to determine the causes of the collapse and identify those responsible.

Sources said that Aneela was also injured in the accident, and authorities are taking her medical condition into consideration during the investigation.

Police stated that the probe is ongoing and further action will be taken based on available evidence and findings of the investigation. 

Meanwhile, the Education Authority Lahore has prepared its inquiry report on the incident of the roof collapse of a tuition centre in Kahna area and sent it to the district administration.

According to the report, the tuition centre was established in a home and was not registered with any government agency. The woman was privately tutoring the children of her relatives.

The report states that 25 to 30 children were studying at the tuition centre at the time of the accident.

According to CEO Education Authority Lahore Tariq Mahmood, there is no formal system for registering tuition centres established in homes. Private tuition centres operating in residential homes do not even come under the purview of the Education Department for registration.

According to the report, the district administration will determine the future course of action and possible measures in light of the incident in which 14 children lost their lives in the collapse of the roof of the centre.
