DPM Dar arrives in Cairo to attend regional FM's meeting

CAIRO (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Cairo, Egypt, to attend Regional Foreign Ministers' Meeting being held tomorrow (Sunday).

Upon arrival, he was received by Assistant Foreign Minister for Policy Planning, Research, Crisis Management and Assessments Nazih El Naggary, and Pakistan's Ambassador to Egypt, Ambassador Aamir Shouket.

Ishaq Dar will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines.

According to the Foreign Office, Dar will represent Pakistan at the fourth meeting of the R-4 Group foreign ministers, where participants are expected to exchange views on matters of mutual interest, regional security and global developments.

Dar is additionally expected to meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Discussions are likely to focus on Pakistan-Egypt relations, regional developments and opportunities for enhancing cooperation in various sectors.

The meeting comes as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Egypt seek closer coordination on regional security challenges and broader geopolitical issues affecting the Middle East and beyond.
