Rain, snowfall continue in upper areas of country

Intermittent rain in upper parts and snowfall continue in mountain areas of the country.

Cold weather grips the country as 1.2-feet snowfall was recorded in Malam Jabba.Snowfall was also recorded in Murree while temperature fell to -4C while heavy rain turned weather intense cold in Islamabad.The lowest temperature recorded in different cities during last 24 hours was -6C in Qalat and Gopis, -4 in Gopis, Hunza and Kalam and -3 in Astore.According to Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD,) rain is expected in some parts of upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir and snowfall is expected in mountain areas during next 24 hours.
