Downpour has once again started in Karachi contrary to the Met Office predictions while people are still trying to recover from the earlier havocs of the fierce rain. The spread of various viral diseases is feared after the heaps of garbage and drainage water are lying unattended in certain areas. Met Office had predicted a day ago that no more rains were likely in Karachi but the rain started at 10.00am on Tuesday. The district government is clearing the roads of the accumulated water on the emergency basis. Busy roads of the city have been cleared yet on many points accumulated water still exists. Industrial activities in the city remained suspended due to load shedding. According to the industrialists they have suffered loss of above 12 billion rupees during these three days.
