WAH CANTT (APP) - A delegation led by World Bank Vice President Mamta Murthi visited the historic Taxila Museum and several renowned archaeological sites on Sunday, highlighting the global significance of Pakistan’s rich cultural and religious heritage.
The delegation was warmly received at the Taxila Museum by Deputy Director SRO Taxila Muhammad Aasim Dogar and Senior Archaeologist Dr Arslan. During the visit, officials briefed the guests on the museum’s extensive collection of Gandharan artifacts, Buddhist relics and the historical importance of Taxila as one of the world’s oldest centers of learning and civilization.
Members of the delegation toured various museum galleries and reviewed ongoing conservation and preservation efforts aimed at protecting the region’s invaluable archaeological assets for future generations.
