LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab School Education Department has allowed summer camps in government and private schools across the province from Monday (today).
According to a letter issued by the Education Department, summer camps will continue from June 1 to June 30. Summer camps can only be held from Monday to Thursday from 7am to 10am, while these camps will remain closed on Fridays.
The department officials said that students of all classes will be able to attend the summer camps, but participation will not be mandatory and permission from parents has been declared necessary.
The department has clarified that private schools will not be able to charge additional fees for summer camps.
The letter directs that all activities be conducted in classrooms and indoor environments, while the school administration ensures the provision of cold water, sanitation, fans, and power backup.
Officials added that uniforms will not be mandatory for students participating in the summer camp and they will be allowed to wear clothes according to the weather.
The School Education Department has warned that legal action will be taken against institutions that violate government instructions.
