Summary India has focused more on shaping global perception, while Pakistan has highlighted its position through effective diplomacy
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - India has been using all available resources and proxies to promote a misleading narrative against Pakistan, but these efforts are unsuccessful on the international stage, where they have failed to gain significant traction or credibility.
Former Indian Deputy National Security Adviser Arvind Gupta has acknowledged that Pakistan’s narrative has been successful, as its position is increasingly being seen as more effective and credible at the global level.
According to him, Pakistan has consistently worked over decades to present its position in a structured and organized manner, which has helped it achieve diplomatic success.
Arvind Gupta noted that individuals associated with institutions such as ISI, ISPR, and others have remained active on various platforms, and Pakistan has adopted a long-term strategy to counter India’s narrative.
He further stated that during the Gulf War, Iran also expressed confidence in Pakistan, reflecting the country’s regional importance and diplomatic standing.
Analysts say that when former senior security officials from India themselves express doubts about their country’s narrative, it naturally raises questions about its credibility.
Experts believe that India has focused more on shaping global perception, while Pakistan has highlighted its position through effective diplomacy.
They further added that such statements should not be viewed merely as personal opinions, but rather as validation of Pakistan’s diplomatic, moral, and strategic narrative strength.
