Authorities have directed deputy commissioners to take effective measures to protect human lives.
District administrations have been instructed to restrict public movement near rivers and streams, identify vulnerable locations and deploy police and administrative personnel.
SDMA has also directed rescue and relevant departments to remain on alert in view of any emergency situation.
