ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday held a telephone conversation with Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, during which both sides agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the two leaders reviewed the trajectory of relations between Pakistan and Poland, expressing satisfaction over recent positive developments. They reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening engagement in areas of mutual interest, including economic cooperation, trade, and diplomatic coordination.

The discussion also included a detailed exchange of views on evolving regional and global developments, reflecting a shared interest in maintaining stability and promoting dialogue in key geopolitical contexts. Both ministers emphasised the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement to address emerging challenges.

During the conversation, Sikorski commended Pakistan’s efforts in facilitating a ceasefire between Iran and the United States. He acknowledged Islamabad’s role in encouraging dialogue and de-escalation, noting that Pakistan’s approach based on negotiations and diplomacy contributes to broader regional peace and stability.

Pakistan has in recent months actively engaged in diplomatic outreach aimed at easing tensions in volatile regions, with officials underscoring the importance of mediation and constructive dialogue in conflict resolution.

The Polish foreign minister also extended an invitation to Dar to undertake an official visit to Poland in June 2026. The proposed visit is expected to provide an opportunity for both sides to further institutionalise cooperation and explore new avenues for partnership.
