ITP issues traffic advisory as diversions planned on major routes in Islamabad

Islamabad Traffic Police has announced temporary diversions on major roads from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, urging commuters to use alternate routes like Rawal Road, Srinagar Highway, and Korang Road.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Tuesday issued a traffic advisory, announcing temporary diversions on major roads of the federal capital during the evening hours.
An ITP official told APP that traffic diversions will be implemented from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Islamabad Expressway, Murree Road and Club Road, due to which traffic pressure is expected to increase on Islamabad Expressway and Faisal Avenue.
He said commuters travelling from Rawalpindi to Islamabad are advised to use Rawal Road (Rawalpindi), Ninth Avenue, Fakir Epi Road and Srinagar Highway.
Similarly, motorists travelling from Islamabad to Rawalpindi should use Zero Point, Srinagar Highway and Ninth Avenue to avoid congestion.
The official said that people travelling to and from Murree and Bari Imam (Bari Kahu) are advised to use Korang Road, Bani Gala, Park Road and Lehtrar Road.
He added that commuters travelling from Serena and Bari Kahu towards Rawalpindi should use Park Road and Khanna.
The official said that traffic police officers will remain deployed on roads to facilitate citizens and ensure smooth traffic flow during the diversion period.
