Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif completes lottery for 720 flats for industrial workers, plans 1,872 more, and instructs hostel completion at Sheikhupura’s business park.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has completed the lottery allocation for 720 newly constructed flats for homeless industrial workers.
The Chief Minister initiated the lottery by pressing a button and congratulated the successful workers. Following her instructions, 720 workers became owners of their new homes.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed that separate flats be allocated for widows and individuals with special needs. She also ordered the construction of an additional 1,872 flats for industrial workers to be completed within the next 18 months.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister instructed that a bachelor hostel for 700 workers at Quaid-e-Azam Business Park in Sheikhupura be completed within three months, with flats on the ground floor reserved for special workers.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister personally called industrial worker Nadeem Tahir to congratulate him, advising him to keep his parents close, as their blessings helped him secure the flat.
