Karachi issues its most expensive e-challan after a dump truck involved in a Port Qasim accident was found without a tracker or fitness certificate.
KARACHI – Karachi has issued the most expensive e-challan in the city’s history after a dump truck involved in a morning crash was found operating without key safety requirements.
The incident took place in Razzaqabad where the speeding vehicle caused an accident before authorities began their investigation. Officials later confirmed that the truck had neither a tracker installed nor a valid fitness certificate.
The owner, identified as Sher Zada, has been fined Rs0.1 million. Police have also named him in the First Information Report after multiple violations were recorded. Officials noted that both the absence of tracking equipment and the lack of a fitness certificate contributed to the severity of the penalty.

The crash was reported at Port Qasim Chowrangi. Traffic authorities inspected the vehicle and site, highlighting the truck’s non-compliance with required monitoring and safety standards.
The driver’s licence has been temporarily suspended for a period of three months. Under existing rules, the fine amount can be reduced by half if payment is made within 14 days.
Traffic officials stated that this is the most expensive e-challan issued to date in Karachi for violations of traffic regulations.
