ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday appointed columnist and public policy expert Mosharraf Ali Zaidi as his spokesperson for foreign media.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar shared the notification of appointment on the social media platform X.

Welcoming Mosharraf Ali Zaidi in the team, the minister described the appointment as a valuable addition.

He noted that working with Zaidi over the past few months has been a great experience and expressed his eagerness to continue this teamwork.

Tarar expressed the confidence to take Pakistan's narrative notches higher through joint efforts.

“Welcome on board, brother. A great addition to our team. It’s been great working with you these past few months, looking forward to continue this teamwork,” Tarar wrote.

Zaidi holds a BSc (Honours) in Economics from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and a Master of Public Administration in Policy Analysis and Non-Profit Management from Baruch College, New York.

Zaidi’s career spans public policy, governance, and education reform. He previously served as a policy adviser at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2011 to 2013, and later as the campaign director and CEO of the education reform initiative Alif Ailaan from 2013 to 2018.
