New Toshakhana case against Imran Khan, wife Bushra set for hearing tomorrow
Pakistan
The PTI founder’s legal team has been informed about Tuesday's proceedings
RAWALPINDI – The much-talked-about Toshakhana-II case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and his wife, Bushra Bibi, is scheduled to come up for hearing tomorrow at Adiala Jail.
According to court officials, the PTI founder’s legal team has been informed that proceedings will begin at 10am sharp inside the prison premises.
This development comes after the case was put on the back burner three times, with earlier hearings adjourned for various reasons.
Tomorrow’s session is therefore expected to draw keen attention, as the case has already stirred public debate and political controversy.
The case revolves around allegations concerning the handling of state gifts. Both the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi have consistently denied wrongdoing, insisting that the charges are politically motivated.
Observers say tomorrow’s hearing could set the tone for the trial ahead. If the court moves forward with framing charges, it may open up another challenging chapter for the former prime minister and his family.
For now, all eyes are on Adiala Jail, where a high-security environment has been prepared to ensure that the proceedings go off without a hitch.
