SC rejects EC plea for more time

The Supreme Court has rejected Election Commissions plea for more time for voters lists.

The Chief Justice has said that the law would take its own course if the voters’ lists were not completed by February 23.While rejecting the EC plea for more time to complete voters’ lists, the apex court remarked why the work was not completed in two years. The EC said NADRA needed more time, while NADRA said it could complete its work on time.The court said it knew how to get the law implemented.
