No need for 27th amendment, says Ishaq Dar

LONDON (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated that the government is still digesting the 26th constitutional amendment and sees no need for a 27th at this time.

Speaking to the media in London, Dar emphasised that the government is actively working to resolve the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis. He inaugurated the One-Window Passport Processing System, aimed at simplifying passport-related procedures for the diaspora.

Dar assured that passport-related problems of overseas Pakistanis will be significantly reduced. He also mentioned that relations between Pakistan and Iran have improved further, strengthening regional diplomacy.

Highlighting Pakistan’s peaceful stance, the Foreign Minister declared, “Pakistan is a peace-loving country, but if anyone looks at us with a hostile eye, we will respond strongly.” He reiterated the country’s desire for peaceful relations with all neighboring nations.

Separately, Dar inaugurated Land Record Services at the Pakistan High Commission in London, a move aimed at providing relief to overseas Pakistanis dealing with property matters.

These services, initiated under the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, are being launched in Punjab first, with a call for other provinces to follow suit and offer similar relief to their citizens.
